The 2023 Winnipeg Comedy Festival
Hello! I have some great news: I have been asked to perform as a part of the 2023 Winnipeg Comedy Festival! On May 6th, 2023, I will be appearing in “Got Land?” at the Gas Station Arts Centre.
“Got Land?” expresses solidarity through humour. “Got Land?” is a stand-up comedy show where First Nation, Inuit, and Métis entertainers tell jokes and share life stories. Nation to nation comedians showcase their material for allies, the indigenous community, and Winnipeg Comedy Festival audiences.
Hosted by Janelle Niles and featuring Gerry Barrett, Savannah Erasmus, Don Kelly, Nelson Mayer, Keith Nahanee & Clayton T. Stewart.
I am so excited to be a part of this show and share the stage with these other amazing performers. I am so grateful to Dean Jenkinson and Janelle Niles for giving me this awesome opportunity. I would also like to thank my best friend and Comedy cohort: Nelson Mayer (who will also be performing in this show) for his continued support and belief in my abilities, without which I would not have amazing opportunities like this.
It also blows me away that this year I am celebrating my first Decade performing Stand-up Comedy and I made it into the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, something that I remember watching on TV years ago with my Mama. I know she is up there and so proud of her “funny boy”!
Tickets will be $25 (+ applicable online service fees) and can be purchased through the WCF Website.
